This page explains what this site collects and what the office does with it.

What we collect

When you send the contact form, we receive what you type into it: your name, phone number, email if you give it, the day you'd like to talk, the kind of matter and your note. Like most sites, the server also keeps basic logs, such as your browser type and the pages you visited, to keep the site running and secure.

How we use it

We use what you send to call or write you back, to check for conflicts of interest before we take on a matter, and to keep a record that you got in touch. We don't sell it, rent it or use it for advertising.

Who sees it

The lawyers and staff of the office, and the companies that host this site and deliver its email, who may use it only to provide those services to us.

How long we keep it

If we don't end up working together, we keep your note only as long as we need it for conflict checks and our own records. If you become a client, your file is kept as the rules for lawyers' records require.

Your choices

To see, correct or delete what you've sent us, email office@ostbyvance.com or call (406) 555-0147. We'll answer within a reasonable time and tell you if anything has to be kept by law.
