Teresa Lucero

Associate

Teresa writes wills and trusts, settles estates and helps families through divorce and parenting plans.

Teresa joined the office after clerking for a district judge, where she saw a lot of estates go to court that didn't need to. Her work now is mostly keeping families out of that room.

She drafts wills, trusts and powers of attorney, guides personal representatives through probate, and handles uncontested divorces, parenting plans and orders of protection. She meets clients in English or Spanish.

How Teresa works

  • 01

    Comes to the house

For clients who can't easily get downtown, Teresa will bring the papers and a witness to the kitchen table.

  • 02

    Uses a checklist you keep

Probate comes with a written list of every step and deadline, and she ticks it off with you.

  • 03

    Keeps it calm

Most of her family cases settle. She prepares for court anyway, so you're ready if yours doesn't.
